The misspelling of the writer Axton as Axpon may have only existed less than a month. The original recording information from January 10, 19563 has the writer correctly spelled as Axton. A later 1S pressing is corrected. The March release of Elvis’ Golden Records has Axton correctly spelled. This is a very tough variation to find.

This sleeve, commonly referred to as “This Is His Life”, has been associated with the Mystery Train single. Others believe that this sleeve may as well have been issued with other early Elvis singles. Although this list varies and may include That's All Right / Blue Moon of Kentucky, Good Rockin' Tonight / I Don't Care if The Sun Don't Shine, Milkcow Blues Boogie / You're A Heartbreaker, Baby Let's Play House / I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone, and I Want You, I Need You, I Love You / My Baby Left Me, one thing is known for sure, this sleeve is extremely rare.2

A clean copy of this sleeve with the triangular cut on the back sold on eBay on April 3, 2014 for $797.99.3

The Hollywood pressing is unique between the three pressings where on the DO THE CLAM side where with the Jordanaires is on on line and Jubilee Four & Carol Lombard Trio on one line. The official RECORDING INFORMATION worksheet for DO THE CLAM, recorded February 26, 1965 with serial number SPA3-2009, has this as a note “Listing Dept. please note: On the single record only, please list the vocal groups on 2 lines as listed below using a little larger and heavier print for the Jordanaires than for Jubilee Four & Carol Lombard Trio.11
